Course Descriptions
We offer classes in an artistic and non competitive atmosphere. Classes generally meet once a week and run continuously month-to-month, throughout the school year. The curriculum is progressive to offer a continuous set of challenges to any skill level so that all students can get the most out of our programs. We keep small class sizes to facilitate individual instruction and allow students to join into an on-going class at any time. Looking to learn something quick? Try one of our Workshops/Camps!

Art Through the Alphabet
Ages: 4 - 6 years old

Time: 45 minutes
A class for preschool to kindergarten age students which promotes observation skills and cooperation with others. Students work on their ability to recognize the elements of shape and combine them to draw the alphabet, an object or character that starts with the letter's sound. Promotes reading readiness by recognition of the alphabet and their phonetic sound. Helps with handwriting and fine motor skills in a fun engaging way!
Getting Ready
Ages: 4 - 7 years old
Fee: $87/ month (4 classes) $108/month (6 classes)
Time: 45 minutes
An introduction to representational drawing geared toward 4 - 7 year olds. Students work on their ability to recognize the elements of shape and combine them in drawing various subjects from their world.

Basic Drawing
Ages: 7 - Up
Fee: $91/ month (4 classes) $114/month (5 classes)
Time: 1 hour
An introduction to representational drawing geared for 7+ year old students (all the way up to adult). Students learn to utilize the elements of shape and progress to more complex projects. They are introduced to various choices for subject and background to interpret lessons in their own creative way. Subjects include animals, 3 dimensional objects, and much more.

Drawing Fundamentals
Ages: 9 - Up
Fee: $112/ month (4 classes) $140/month (5 classes)
Time: 1.5 hours
A class for ages 9 year old to teens ( all the way up to adult). After learning the basics, students are able to work more independently and develop their own style. Building on the elements of shape to create a variety of realistic, abstract, and expressionistic styles. Lessons will introduce 2-dimensional graphic material, 3-dimensional objects, the human form, perspective, and proportion.

Drawing Studio
Ages: Late Teen - Adult
Fee: $125/ month (4 classes) $156/ month (5 classes)
Time: 2 hours
An independent study class geared to the older student that ranges from those with no experience to students with strong basic drawing skills. We will introduce students to all subject matter media and styles of drawing. Personalized supportive instruction is based on the needs and goals of each student, while encouraging them to develop their own individual style.
